Thanksgiving Holiday Schedule


The Thanksgiving Holiday Schedule for the McKinney Public Library is as follows:

Wednesday, November 26th:
Library closes at 6:00 pm.

Thursday, November 27th:
Library Closed.

Friday, November 28th:
Library Closed.


MS Word - Advanced Class Offered


Tuesday, November 25th
7:00 pm to 8:30 pm
Registration begins at 6:30 pm at the Reference Desk.


Advanced Microsoft Word Class:

This class is offered to anyone who wants to learn a little more than the basics of using Microsoft Word. Instruction will include how to create tables, headers and footers, setting paragraph tabs, inserting and resizing pictures, and using other features and formatting.

Youth Activites for November 24th - 30th


Next week we will take a break from programming.


Programming will will resume on Monday, December 1st and will continue our regular programs for two more weeks.

Needed: ESL Volunteer Tutors

McKinney Public Library needs volunteers who can tutor groups of limited-English speaking adults on Monday and Wednesday evenings, 6:30-8:00 P.M. for a ten week session. Classes will begin at the library on Monday, February 2, and run until Wednesday, April 8, 2009. Potential tutors should be adults who speak English as their first language. If you would like to volunteer for this rewarding experience, please contact Rosetta Walz at 972 832-1293.
