Reading Club for children and teens

June 1st through August 15th
The Summer Reading Club is open to children ages 3 through 6th grade.

In order to earn a prize, a child must read (or be read to) as many hours as s/he is old. After children have completed their goals, they may collect their prize in the Children’s Department. For each additional 10 hours a child reads (or is read to), s/he will be entered into a drawing. So, for a boy 8 years of age, he would collect his prize after reading 8 hours (and after June 15). If he completed 28 hours, he would be entered in the drawing a total of two times. Prizes for reaching one’s goal include a book, a bookmark, coupons and a Texas Reading Club Certificate.

This program runs June 1st through August 15th, 2009.

More information is available at the Children’s desk.
